3D Gallery

After years of making art that hangs on the wall, Gay recently started exploring the joys and challenges of making 3D painted cloth artworks that stand rather than hang.  The nature of fabric—easily cut, bent, and stitched—allows her to create interesting 3D shapes, some of which would be difficult if not impossible in other media.  She loves the interplay between the form of a piece and its surface decoration, and is very excited by this new direction in her work.
